Hello,
i installed the File Manager Plugin and added the Download Manager Plugin. If i only use the file manager Shortcode, everything is fine. If i add the Download Manager Shortcode, i can’t upload any files in the frontend any more. I can create directories , but not upload any type of files.
So i guess there must be something wrong with the Add-On.Thank you in advance for your help.

Make sure you have used both shortcodes on different pages, not on same page.
June 3, 2019 at 6:27 am #12469SebastianParticipantHi,
thank you for your reply. Yes, i have both shortcodes on the same page. Is there no way to have them on the same page?
Best regards
June 4, 2019 at 3:28 am #12472nmediaKeymasterSorry, for now you can’t use both on same page.
June 5, 2019 at 8:44 am #12478SebastianParticipantHi,
oh no, that’s unfortunate.
Because i have a sperate download and upload area now. In the upload area i can only see MY files. So i can’t upload in a directory, wich i haven’t created, right?
Is there a way to solve this problem i have? I can’t seem to fix it with user groups.Best regards

June 13, 2019 at 1:02 pm #12565nmediaKeymasterHi,
I couldn’t understand your issue? You mean you can’t create directories? You can create directory in file upload manager. But in download manager addon-on user cannot upload any file or create directories. It’s just a download area.
June 14, 2019 at 6:11 am #12568SebastianParticipantHi,
well, the problem is, that in the file upload manager i can only see MY FILES. So if i would like to upload a file into a directory that another user created (which is displayed in the download manager add-on) it is not possible. I can only see my directories in the upload area.
But my customer needs an upload area where anyone can upload files in any directories.Ist there a way to solve this problem?
Best regards
June 14, 2019 at 3:15 pm #12573nmediaKeymasterOk I see, we have another feature called ‘group file sharing’ You can see details here:
June 24, 2019 at 1:41 pm #12673SebastianParticipantThank you for that tipp. I tried it out, but i still can only see my uploaded files in the upload area. There must be ALL files which belong to a certain file group.
June 25, 2019 at 3:44 am #12680nmediaKeymasterHi,
yes exactly, it should show all file within the group not only yours.
1. Make sure you have correct shortcode with correct group id
2. Please share your shortcode here.June 25, 2019 at 6:19 am #12685SebastianParticipantHi,
everything seems to be correct but still not working. Does it also work on directories? Because i only have some of them created in the backend so far.
This is my shortcode: [nm-wp-file-uploader group_id=”16″, role=”subscriber”]
And my group ID seems to be correct too:
/wp-admin/term.php?taxonomy=file_groups&tag_ID=16&post_type=wpfm-files&wp_http_referer …… and so onThank you very much for your help!
June 25, 2019 at 2:17 pm #12696nmediaKeymasterHi,
are there some files attached to group_id = 16?
June 25, 2019 at 2:34 pm #12702SebastianParticipantHi,
yes sure, three directories created by a different WordPress-User, not me.
