Is it possible to setup the plugin to Apply for Tags instead of categories?

I have a mixture of products, some offer personalization and some don’t. To avoid breaking them into 2 separate categories “womens personalized” and “womens not personalized”, or list in 2 categories “womens” and “personalized”. I would like to just add a Tag to each product that could be personalized and load the options on those products only.
