I found where to upload fonts locally. But unfortunately I have found no place to rename them (simple example: real name of the font ARIAL should be shown as “font 1” in my frontend). This way I would like to avoid that competitors can easily copy the fonts I am using.
Is this possible? I haven’t found a solution in your documentation for this issue. Maybe it is just some code I have to add in custom.fonts.css?
@Lievelabels.nl – thanks for your reply! @nmedia: I have added this code in the custom.fonts.css – but it still does show the real font name in the front end of the website. Is it really enough to change the font-family to “FakeFontName’ instead of ‘myFont’??? I am not a programmer, just a user. But this seems weird to me – and it does not work. Please help…
make sure you also adding font name inside ‘Google Font Families’ box of font picker input to display on front. And also make sure you have added font .ttf file inside fonts directory where have custom.fonts.css file.
