Image Select – Only Load Images in Source Code When Selected

Hi.

First of all I am loving the plugin and features it offers but I do have one issue. I am building out Image Select options for the customer and this involves over 400 images in total between all the options.

This as you can imagine causes page load issues (my images are optimized at around 3kb each) but when the requests on the server are so high it obviously causes slight page speed issues.

Is there a way or in the planning for only loading the image options when the customer selects an option rather than loading all images on page load?

Hi,

400 images need to load images and also iterate each image so both factors will demand more resources and it causing delay, Unfortunately I don’t have any solution for this. You have to plan your product options to break this down into two or three products.
