Is it possible for CFOM to be activated for some but not all products?

I have PPOM and it is working fine, but I only use it for some products, not all.

I wondered whether I could also make use of CFOM, but only for some products, not all.

To be more concrete, I have created both publications and membership products in WooCommerce.

Publications work fine as is and have their own category “Publications”.

Memberships are “hidden” (so they don’t show up in the store). They need some extra fields which I have added via PPOM. It would be nice if the Checkout could have some extra fields for Memberships, but not for Publications. There are “Conditions” for fields, of course, but they don’t seem to be related to the Publications category. Is there a clever way to make the fields conditional on the product category?

Currently, you cannot set CFOM fields based on products but we are working on the new version and introducing more new features and I hope it will be added soon.

If you want different fields attached to different product pages, the easiest way to do that is by creating new “meta” groups and attaching different meta groups to different products? Or is there another way to do this that I’ve missed

Or can you put all the different fields into one big meta and then use the !Apply for Categories” option under the “General” tab?
