Upload button does nothing in Internet Explorer (11)

Hi,

The Upload button doesn’t work in IE11 – the file previews ok, but the button doesn’t do anything when you come to upload….

It works fine in Chrome, Edge etc.

Can we get a fix for this asap please?

Hi Neil,

we have tried to make it compatible with IE 11, but IE itself does not support many modern features. So they are not updating IE 11 rather shifting to MS EDGE.

Is there any way around it?

The client is in the UK public sector – so IE11 is the main browser their users have….

And most are not able to upgrade to Edge / Chrome etc.

Hi,

The client says the description box doesn’t appear in IE11 – see below from one of their users.

I now get an Upload button. Problem now is that there is no box to enter the Title and Detail and so when I press Upload it says it needs Title and Detail.

Even in Edge it takes 15 seconds to appear.

What can be done?

Hi Neil,

it seems when upload button is pressed Edge does not show the progress bar and once upload finishes it shows title and description. We will see how to sort this out with EDGE.

In IE11 the upload button does nothing. Can we somehow turn off the java or jquery that loads it so it at least lets you upload in IE11?

We have fixed this issue in IE 11 in version 13.7, please update from WP Dashboard 🙂
