Cannot save a PPOM text field

I am trying to add a simple PPOM text field:
I fill out the necessary fields (Title, Data name, Description, Required Field and call the rule in the Conditions window)… and click on ‘Update field’.
Then when I go to ‘Save Fields’ of the ‘Product Meta Basic Settings’ window the ‘Data name’ and ‘Title’ fields are empty and the ‘Required’ option set to ‘no’.
I have done this countless times to no avail.
